In my opinion, the 458 Italia is the first proper pretty Ferrari that we've seen for some time. Recent models such as the California, 599 GTB, F430, Scaglietti and even the Enzo, have missed the mark. Sure, they have supercar-looks, but they lack that certain X-factor. The 458, however, is different. In the flesh, it is a visually-arresting sight and it sends tingles down …

Honda, it seems, are hell bent on destroying their racing heritage. Considering they have killed off their all their performance models save for the CRZ (is that even a proper performance car?), it's fair to say that their present line-up is about as interesting as watching wet paint dry. The S2000 was well-loved and it baffles me to this day why they would kill it off and …

Two days ago marked Senna's 15th death anniversary. If you've seen Top Gear's tribute to Senna, you might remember Clarkson mentioning about a Senna movie. I just caught it and I urge anyone who has even the slightest interest in motorsports to get hold of it and watch it. The movie provides some interesting insights into the life and career of who is arguably the best F1 …

If you love old-school air-cooled Porsches, you'll love this week's wallpaper. This is the Singer 911. Singer Vehicles Design is a company which takes old pre-1994 air-cooled Porsches and retrofits them with modern day components like carbon fiber body panels, seats, brakes, suspension and various struts and handlebars to improve rigidity. The engine is also given a …

The current generation of 997 Porsche 911s will soon be replaced, and as a swan song, Porsche has unveiled the new GT3 RS 4.0 As its name suggests, the new GT3 RS has a 4.0-liter flat-six engine (the biggest displacement engine ever seen in a 911) plucked straight out from the GT 3 RSR race car. However, because the GT3 RS 4.0 has no air restrictors, the engine now makes …

Only in Monaco do you see sights like this. From left to right: Koenigsegg CCX, Bugatti Veyron Sang Noir (only 15 in the world!), Noble M600, Mercedes-Benz SLR, and a Gemballa Avalanche Porsche. PS: Those who listen to Mercyful Fate will undoubtedly find the title familiar =)

In Malaysia, the Deputy Inspector-General of the Police has just announced that directives to stop speed trap ambushes along the North-South Highway (NSHW) has been issued. Signs will now be put up to warn motorists about impending speed traps and road blocks. Brilliant news. Because let's be honest about it, for many Singaporean motorists, the NSHW is something like the …

Seeing that the E63 AMG will soon have its 6.2-liter naturally aspirated powerplant replaced by a smaller turbo-charged one, I have decided to make the SLS AMG the star of this week's Wallpaper Weekend. If things continue the way they are, the SLS may very well be one of the last, if not the last, naturally aspirated AMG cars. Download the wallpaper here.

Many manufacturers are shifting away from naturally aspirated engines and are looking to turbo-charged solutions to maintain power but improve fuel efficiency. For example, Zondas used to be naturally aspirated, but Pagani's latest Huayra has twin turbos. Likewise, the new BMW F10 M5 will ditch the 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V10 used in the older car in favor of a …

The blue and yellow livery of Spoon cars is perhaps one of the most recognized in the world of JDM tuning. And one of the most impressive cars to have left the hallowed workshop of Spoon is undoubtedly the Spoon NSX-R GT. The car was built to commemorate Spoon's 20th anniversary and it was later entered into the Macau GP where Spoon's founder, Tatsuru Ichishima, drove to …

As you all know, Japan was struck by a terrible earthquake over a month ago. It is estimated that the earthquake, which measured 9.0 on the Richter scale, caused over US$300 billion in damages. Help Japan by purchasing these car decals. All profit and proceeds will be donated to the Red Cross Japan Relief Fund. I ordered two myself.

This week's wallpaper comes from one of my favorite motoring website - Speedhunters. Definitely not the sexiest of side profiles, but there's something about this shot of the GT-R that speaks out to me. Must be those massive drilled rotors, or the fact that the shot was so cleanly taken. Anyhow, I still think a GT-R looks better with wings. All JDM sports cars do. Get the …

Maseratis are painfully good-looking cars, and I'm a bit upset at how often the MC12 is overlooked. Critics have panned it for being impractical - difficult to drive and park, too large, amongst many others - but remember, this car was specially built only to homologate the race version for the FIA GT Championship. Hence, it is also supremely rare - it is said only 55 were …

This video is a collection of the various exhausts systems available for the FD2 Civic Type R. If you are looking for a new exhaust, this is mighty helpful. Unfortunately, most of these exhausts are hard to get in Singapore. More frustratingly, most are also not approved. =(

Both are flagships are of their respective brands, both are built in limited numbers, and both have in excess of 600hp and top speeds north of 200mph. But which would you choose? I'm leaning towards the stallion from Maranello. You can get the wallpaper by right-clicking and saving this link or the image above.>

This footage was taken after a Lamborghini gathering in Singapore. Apart from it sounding like pure heaven, an interesting thing I noticed is that there are no Gallardos in the video - only Murcielagos. What? V10 not good enough for ya? Anyhow, enjoy.

Hot Toys has just unveiled the latest Jack Sparrow figure on their Facebook page and it looks fantastic. They really nailed the look here. Not sure if this is going to be the new DX version I blogged about two weeks back. The expression is obviously different. And they do mention on their Facebook page that "another interchangeable face with different gesture" is coming …

Someone has leaked an "internal use only" trailer of Forza 4 and it looks great. More than 80 manufacturers are going to be represented and I saw lots of great cars in the short trailer - LP560-4, SLS AMG, LFA. At this point, I pray that they don't intentionally withhold content going to make them available via DLC later. If they don't muck things up. This could be epic.

The LP 670-4 SuperVeloce is my favorite Lamborghini because it captures the madness that Lambos of old are known for. Just look at the huge rear wing, diffuser and exhaust. It also helps that it has plenty of horsepower and it also makes a wonderful noise. Grab the high-res wallpaper here.

Another movie I'm dying to watch. I'm not afraid to admit it, I'm a big Pooh fan. Don't know why, there's just something endearing about him.
