Here is another unpleasant experience of bad service in singapore, which happened today. But unlike my previous posts which left me helpless and angry about these bad treatments, i finally found a possible solution.I dropped by at the town area with yuki to help my mom make a purchase plus a complimentary gift that came along with the item bought, from this popular cosmetic …

Been busy for the past week with one test, preparations for tutorials, meeting up with a close friend...etcI just checked my blog and realised that i haven't updated it since last sunday. Urgh. For those who have been following me on plurk, you'll know that i was pretty stressed over school work and some personal matters. Well, i'm trying to cope with whatever that is …

It's one of the two times of the year when i will have to say that i will be taking a break from blogging. Yep, exams are around the corner and i need to start hitting the books VERY soon. Which means i need to start distancing myself from my macbook and blogging.Wish me all the best for this semester's exams because I REALLY NEED A MIRACLE TO DO WELL.

I get so jealous when i see guys with beautiful flawless skin. And they don't seem to be the metrosexual kind, the kind who buys facial products or goes for regular facial treatment.I get so mesmerized by their spotless skin i can just keep staring at their faces for hours and rack my brains on how they can maintain such perfect skin. It's like watching a skII commercial …

Over the dinner table, my dad told us this really horrific piece of news of a killing spree incident that occurred in the afternoon at akihabara, tokyo today.Apparently, a 25 year old man tried to run down the people walking freely along the streets of akihabara, as he was driving in a lorry. During the weekends, the roads at akihabara are made inaccessible to motor vehicles …

Just like what the title says, i'm going to keep this entry short and sweet because i'm really really exhausted by the long school days. Some quick updates...- I have been bumping into sunbear almost every day... which IS a good thing... but oh well, i'm not going to get myself too involved in this tiny crush.- someone just told me that he is subscribing to my feeds and i feel …

Nose picking in the public ranks first under my pet peeves' list.Unfortunately, i met this ardent picker on the train this morning.Somehow the guy beside me had this ability of playing his psp and digging his nose at the same time.I didn't know whether i should be impressed or revolted. All i wanted to do is to get away from him. But since there were no empty seats nearby, i …

Do you know that women speak an average of 7000 words a day whereas men speak a significantly lesser number of 2000 per day?It came to my mind after talking on the phone to yoshiko for close to 4 hours last night. I think i must have babbled over 10 000 words last night. No wonder my throat felt a little sore this morning. It's funny that we can rattle on for such a long time …

I was running late for my first class for the day.Texting min sun that i'll be late, i told her to save a seat for me.I arrived in the lecture hall 5 minutes late. My eyes frantically roamed the entire hall in search of min sun, but there were too many people. So i took the nearest seat and plopped down, staring blankly at the screen. I guess i was too tired to even reach out …

Today is the continuation of my previous entry on how depressed i was.It was lab day again, and i had to redo my entire experiment. It took me 6.5 hours to get my results, only to found out that one of the techniques i used in the intermediate steps was carried out wrongly. My teaching assistant suggested me to do it AGAIN. And i felt like breaking down at that point. Because …

Yuki will be sitting for her prelims very soon. In fact, if i'm not wrong, she will be having her first paper in a few days' time. The poor girl hasn't been sleeping well for the past few weeks, with all the intensive mugging sessions and all-too-frequent tuition classes she has been attending.I'm so glad i don't need to sit for any more major exams like hers.

During our usual tea time at macs at liang court today, my dad and i came across this table of young people reading japanese books.Liang court is always patronized by japanese people, so it's not surprising to see japanese families hanging out at macs. But these young people were mostly singaporeans. And the stuff they were reading were not mangas or magazines where you can …

For the past few weeks, whenever i'm taking the bus home from the arts faculty, i always notice this strange sight.I see people carrying toolboxes around!Taken from: http://www.luckytree.com.au/images/tool%20box%20s.jpgTheir toolboxes weren't as cute as this one though.I guess they must be mechanical engineering students?

It felt so good to be back in school.A 3 months' break is simply too long. The feeling of bumping into old friends and having a small chat along the corridors leaves me smiling. But i don't miss the food at the canteen terribly. I had sichuan food at the arts canteen, simply because it had the shortest queue. And the beef noodle i ordered was too spicy for my liking.Anyway, in …

Guys, sorry to start this with a sad note.. but i was REALLY REALLY depressed for the past few days. No, it's not about any guy or what. Nor it's because i'm pms-ing.For those who talked to me online, i might have sounded pretty cheerful but i WASN'T.Sucky things happen here and there, and NOW is the period where sucky things happen for me.First thing: CORS bidding. I spent …

Ever since my first day at work last week, i feel that i've learnt many valuable lessons which i don't think i'll have the chance to experience back in nus.In the past, the idea of a part-time job to me, was a specific task given to me, which had to be carried out every day once i hit the power button on my desktop computer. It required not much understanding at all. As long …

Today, i rushed down to school in yuki's dress since all my clothes were still not ironed.I was surprised that leonard said i "looked good" in the dress, because i think it means a lot coming from someone like leo who always *ahem* say mean stuff to me. And i had other friends who thought i looked cute in the dress. *blush* it feels good to be praised once in a …

Apart from lifehouse and nickelback, my other favourite band is switchfoot. And i'd like to share with you this song i've recently found hidden in my ipod archives. It's called "Learning to Breathe" and if you are a switchfoot fan, you can find many of their hits from the "A Walk to Remember" movie's soundtrack. "A Walk to Remember" was a great movie, and naturally it came …

Last Saturday, the boss brought me around the Japanese Association because i told him i had never had the chance to visit that place before. The Japanese Association is basically like a club for the Japanese, an equivalent of the American Club for the Americans. Since the membership fee is pretty expensive, my parents never felt the need to apply for one. Which explains why i …

Ever since i started work a few days ago, i have been getting flyers shoved in my face or people coming up to me asking me for donations whenever i get out of the train station exit at the CBD area.Compared to other areas in singapore, the CBD area seems to be probably the best place to get people to make a donation, or read your flyers. At least a handful of them may be …
