Today Google updated their maps data and have included street maps for Thailand and Taiwan. No maps for Malaysia right now but hopefully they’re on the way. In the meantime click on either of the images below to go to the Google Maps view of that country. I can’t comment on the accuracy.........

As of yesterday Google have added a detailed roads layer and points of interest for Singapore to Google Earth. The roads layer lets you view the Singapore street maps that have been available for a while in Google Maps. The points of interest layer displays icons in Google Earth for Dining,.........

Yesterday.sg have been posting a series of TV clips from the Explore Singapore! TV series. Each clip visits a Singapore heritage location. I’ve put these clips into an interactive map to make them easy to navigate. You can watch the TV clips from inside the map and also link to more.........

SBS Transit recently launched their iris NextBus service. Iris tells you the time of the next bus at any Singapore bus stop and, in my experience, it works very well. This type of application lends itself very well to mapping, so I’ve taken some of the iris data for bus routes along East.........

The New Straits Times reports that the Malaysian authorities will not ask Google to blur images of the country’s military facilities. Their reasoning seems entirely logical, any pixelation of the images will simply make it easier to identify sensitive locations, in addition the images are.........

I found out today about a site that provides free geocoding of Singapore Postal Codes, you can try it by clicking on the screenshot below.This is great news as it overcomes another one of the hurdles to producing Google Maps mashups for Singapore. It should now be possible to provide an easy way.........
