He or she has posted some very impressive models to the Google Warehouse. The models are of a number of Singapore buildings and are.........

Here in Europe, Google's SketchUp site has now been updated to announce SketchUp Pro 6 ($495). The site update is still in the process of being rolled out — there is a navigation tab for the free SketchUp 6, but no link there to a download page. The download page in the Help Center, meanwhile, doesn't lead to a live link yet.But perhaps that's enough of a tease watch …

Over at sparklette.net Veron does a great job of reviewing Singapore’s restaurants. I like Veron’s reviews because she goes into a lot of detail and includes a lot of pictures. Recently she posted her Best (and Worst) Restaurants of 2006 and I thought it deserved a map, so with her.........

Singapore street maps may not yet be available through the Google Maps API but they are available on the Google Maps site. And the Google Maps site allows you to “mashup” any kml or kmz file (these are the files you create when you place a marker or any other object in Google Earth).........

A few days ago, I cycled off to the Marina Barrage to take a look at the project. This is a very interesting construction project, designed to transform the currently salt-water bay, into an additional fresh-water catchment area. For more information see Wikipedia I was lucky to be there on a.........

Singapore isn’t short of food review sites, but so far few of them have taken advantage of Google Maps to help their users locate restaurants. The guys over at www.sgmapit.com have made a start by mashing up some of the data from yum.sg. You can view their map here or by clicking on the.........
Maybe Google should be congratulated on a good start with making Google Maps mashups more accessible, but it seems they have a long way to go before My Maps offers a compelling platform for creating mashups. These are a few of the serious issues with the current release. There’s no way to.........

Singapore recently got voted the second-best country after Italy for its nightlife and dining in a global survey (the Country Brand Index). Well, to be honest, Singapore is hardly a mountain bikers paradise, but there are a few interesting trails around the island and what they may lack in altitude, they make up for in sweat and mud (sweat everyday and mud if you pick the right day). I’ve created maps of three of the most popular.........
