Although the iPhone is not (officially) available in Singapore the iPod Touch is, and I’m a lucky owner. Apple have tried to lock-down the Touch to differentiate it from the iPhone and this means no Google Maps client on the iPod Touch, but where there’s a will there’s a way..........
Google have updated the satellite images for parts of Singapore. Not all of the island is covered by the update, but the Marina Bay area is and the images seem to date from around January 2007. Today the iDA announced tha availbility of free wireless access zones across Singapore. You can read more about these zones here.
Very helpfully they’ve also provided files you can download for viewing the zones in Google Earth.
