Great actors, great script, great designers, great idea. Sounds like a sure-win recipe for success? Usually that would be the case. However, it did not translate for Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf, one of the acts for Huayi 2012.. This play by Edward Albee is so poignant and, to be honest, so scary; much like what a friend says - a mind fuck. But it is a very difficult piece …
See the full gallery on Posterous It's time of the year again! Where (some) chinese make glutinous balls and cook them in a syrup with ginger and pandan leaves. My mom adds sweet potatoes in ours just for that extra flavour though. Can't wait to start eating! Permalink | Leave a comment »
A part of me misses blogging. Penning down thoughts and observations. Have I been so caught up with getting through each day that I am no longer able to just sit down, stare at the sky and just think? What happened to the girl who could just sit in front of the computer and just write chunks and chunks of text? Maybe I should just force myself to start writing and it will all …
VID-20110925-00001.3 GPWatch on Posterous I have to say, this cat's got attitude. Like all cats do. He did not turn around until I stopped filming and walked away. ;p Permalink | Leave a comment »
Finally bought my training gloves. Really needed those as training with bars & the TRX is hurting the padded part joining my fingers & the middle of my palm, whatever that is called. Tomorrow I should be able to really work out without being discounted by pain... :D Permalink | Leave a comment »
It's the old design, from at least 5 years ago... Yet it's spanking new! Exchanged it with the Banana Republic cashier after spotting a tourist paying for her goods with it. It is still crisp! Permalink | Leave a comment »

Polling day is just round the corner and social media is ablaze with links, tweets, posts, notes and all sorts of activities. Whereas there are a certain number of supporters for the incumbency, the voices for the opposition has risen well above those. PAP has done a great job over the past 40 over years. We have some great policies and programs that are comparable, if not …

I have a few friends who are teachers, and every time we chat about their work, I am worried about our future. I don’t think Singapore’s education system encouraged learning as much as exam prepping. I’m not sure our education system prepares the kids for the real world, and those that excel academically and have never left Singapore could have a harder time …
I like travelling. Travelling for work and pleasure is of course two very different experience, but it’s still enjoyable. The short span of time on the plane is like the breather that you need to break away from work. Being on the plane breaks you from all distractions of work, you can relax and catch up on sleep, watch a movie that you never had time to otherwise, read …
