Taken from Talkingcock.comIt’s a real mystery why China didn’t choose Singapore to host part of the global Olympic Torch Relay. I mean, we’re supposed to be such close buddies, right? And …

I was across the Causeway with my family over the weekend. I would like to make it clear that this trip was not to exploit the favourable exchange rate and government subsidies, but was in …

There is a karang-guni collection centre in the industrial park where I work. Well, calling it a “centre” is stretching it. It is set up at a corner of a t-junction, and all manner of pape …

I caught Avenue Q over the weekend with some friends. And it was hilarious! Do have a beer to loosen up before you watch the musical. Gets you in the mood. =)The actors were amazing with their voices, and surprisingly, were able to convey the expressions of the muppets very well.Although, I must say some friends did not enjoy the musical as much due to the strong …

Caught this movie last night. Be forewarned - it is NOT a good date movie. However, it is a good laugh-at-yourself, dating guide for single people. I think the cinema last night was mainly single people anyway.Acting was not the best, but the storyline held it together. I would strongly recommend the movie.Perhaps, after it, you can tell me which character you relate mostly to?

We want what we can't have. And will bend over backwards to get them.We want what is unsuitable for us. And contort ourselves to fit.We want what others have. Even if its not for us, or may not suit us.We grab what we think we want. Even if we don't want it actually. Only to have to find a way to dispose of it later. We don't treasure what we have. And take things for …

It is my opinion that drunk persons tend to kiss and hug a lot more.Is it due to the lowering of inhibitions? Or is society today too deprived of affection?Whatever the case, it can get kinda gross. =P

Most of us will agree that some drivers of large, pricey cars feel that they own the road, or in fact, have some"special" privilege considering that they pay much more for road tax for the use of the public roads. This results in them being complete asses on the road - driving between 2 lanes, parking irresponsibly, changing lanes on a whim without due regard for other road …

Have you ever had a refund from a hawker? One that you did not ask for? There is this "famous" meat ball noodles in Kovan food centre, you know, the one next facing the florists? So last Friday, I went there for lunch and ordered a Big noodle. The order arrived and the wife of the hawker handed me my 50cents change (when I was expecting none) because "her husband forgot to …

I believe that analogies help describe one's situation a lot better. It is an excursion away from the topic, but describes the topic in a way the listener can relate or empathise. As such, I'm a big fan of using analogies. I try to make them witty, relevant and in some cases, cryptic. One thought has been stuck in my head all weekend. That although that Ferrari looked like all I …
