Have you tried solving the Rubik's Cube? I bet everyone has seen and touched it. Probably giving it a go while you're fiddling with it. Its a simple toy and doesn't require much explaining to play. Objective is simple, get a single colour on all six sides. Simple. And there's even some students who, like me, are given assignments such as automating the solving of a rubik's cube.

You’ve heard of monks setting themselves on fire, dying honourable deaths fighting off evil and oppression, the kinds only saints deserve. An unfortunate Buddhist monk from Japan didn’t get to leave the world on a high as he had been killed by the very machine, built to help him.The Reverend Seiji Handa, 50, was cutting ...

This Youtube video of a US Marine throwing a puppy off a cliff has prompted fierce criticism from the military. It showed two Marines dressed in combat gear, one holding the young dog by the scruff of its neck.“Cute little puppy, huh?”, one Marine siad.“Oh so cute, so cute little puppy,” the other ...

Back when I was in the army, I always worry if Singapore gets involved in a war. The pain, the misery, the anguish and of course the scars that those involved and myself have to bear during the course of the war. There is a high possibility that I will be sent to the frontlines due to my preferred age and health condition and death or injury will definitely occur to the men …

First thought upon seeing the blue dormitories at the Muslim cemetery was for the labourers who are exhuming Blocks 1 and 2 Muslim graves at Pusara Aman for February next year. But that changed after I read an article on the Straits Times, regarding the relocating of foreign workers from Serangoon Garden to Chua Chu Kang. So, I begged dad to drive me to the Muslim cemetery …

We bought a toy for Coco and Cika a few weeks back. It basically has a ball which is free to move round and round within the disc and is great fun seeing the both of them prodding the ball. Coco is much more mature nowadays, seeming to develop motherly instincts towards Cika, the younger one. She'd lick Cika as if Coco is cleaning her everytime they come across each other in …

I just submitted my laboratory report today, and it felt like a huge load was lifted off my shoulders. Although the report doesn't mean the difference between life and death in the university, getting it off means I can finally concentrate on other things such as editing my group's technical communication short write-up.We had quite a fruitful discussion today, having gone …

I always wondered what lies at the end of the rainbow. It seems to stretch from one end of the horizon to the other, like a semi-circle. What lies at the end? Perhaps there is a god created nozzle that spurts the Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet combination. Or perhaps... There might be something more interesting... Something controversial...Cyanide & …
