I've been on a brief blogging hiatus. Mainly because I've been mastering the art of 'doing nothing' over the long weekend when I took a day off on Friday. Instead being glued to my laptop or out roaming the streets, I was glued to my sofa, spending quality time with the DVDs I borrowed from Kat. When we chatted non-stop about the films we loved, I learnt that she has a good …

Once you've seen the pristine waters in Australia, you wouldn't go near our beaches' water. Not even for a million dollars. Especially when it comes with human faeces bacteria.

The Mother told me that stacked platform sandals were all the rage in her teenage years. It seems that fashion is always recycling itself, but with modern twists added to the effect. Boho, shift dress, rocker-punk chick, Jackie-O glasses, aviator, lace and etc.So I couldn't help but wonder, what's next?I remember The Mother has a pair of vintage RayBan. Not the most …

This clip reminds me of a movie documentary I watched many years ago. I have absolutely no recollection of the title but the story goes that a young couple on a research trip in Africa adopted a pair of leopard cubs. The cubs lost their mother to a poacher. The young couple lived and played with the cubs in tree houses for a few years before deciding it's time for the grown …

If watching the movie Sex And The City makes you realise how much you miss hanging out with your friends and why you should appreciate them, then the movie should jolly well be shown once every month for reminder.

In bid to boost the Night Festival, The National Museum opened its doors, same for all others museums and heritage galleries, to the public free-of-charge. A good move to increase the public's awareness and appreciation of arts in the local scene. After all, arts help cultivate a normally rowdy, pushy, loud-mouth typical Singaporean person's heart, mind and soul. Then I …

Yesterday marked the wrap of Singapore's First Night Festival. And Friday night saw me swaying to the wicked melodies of live jazz performed at the Singapore Art Museum as part of the a series of programmes lined up during the festival.I took a seat at Dome's, ordered coffee, laid back comfortably into my seat and let the evening breeze brush playfully across my face as the …

Every Christmas, some good souls will put up a party for the sick children at NUH. My girl, The Best Friend, will be putting up a few good stuff for sale to raise funds for this year's event. So be prepared to do some good in this life and keep watching this space. Cheers!

You don't see the glass as half empty or half full. You see what's exactly in the glass. You never try to make a bad situation seem better than it is...But you also never sabotage any good things you have going on.You are brutally honest in your assessments of situations - and this always seems to help you cope. Are You An Optimist or Pessimist?

Last night I had the strangest dream of all.I was arrested at the airport after I failed the lie detector, hence making me a 'terrorist'. I was man-handled and scooped into a police vehicle and told to take the 'front seat' - that leg space at the front seat. Dreams being dreams, that vehicle has the roomiest leg space I've ever known. I could fit in. I quickly wrote my will …

I caught That Thing You Do for the first time, like 12 years after its release. Such a warm fuzzy feeling inside of me when the credits rolled. No wonder the song was such a big hit during the secondary school days... cute boyband helps. =D

From Today (18 July 2008):'George Yeo says political progress in Myanmar 'not as much as I would like'. Certainly not an A or B, but I would say on the whole, with Asean's assistance and Asean taking the lead in bringing humanitarian assistance into Myanmar, we could give ourselves a C-grading.'Well said.Perhaps certain homo sapiens are meant to do bigger things while they …

I realised I haven't shared my experience to Amman, Jordan! In short:1. Best traditional Italian pizza can be found here. Authentic French pastry too!2. Can't visit the beautiful ancient Petra? Jerash is a good substitute.3. Anal vomit in a foreign land is awfully terrible.4. My wedding finger holds a band to fend off lecherous men. 5. You think Bangkok's traffic is terrible …

Last night saw me attempting to reduce energy consumption by:1. Spending five minutes less in the shower.2. Not watching TV/surfing the internet/playing my favourite music on Hi-Fi.3. Reducing my hair-drying process by half.4. Using the electric fan, instead of the air-con.5. Lights off at 9pm.Verdict: If ever you are plotting an attempt on my life, try putting me through …

I must say Absolut Vodka is a real guru for raking in the chips from die-hard collectors. I have no idea what I would do with one more bottle of Vodka but still, I WANT THIS!Kat bought this 750ml Absolut Vodka in limited edition casing from Paris. Umm... not for me though. Probably I didn't drop enough hints.
