It is rare to have a Chinese musical produced locally, so that immediately arouses my attention to If There’re Seasons http://www.iftherereseasons.com, what’s more it will be featuring songs of Liang Wenfu which we grew up with.Asked around and managed to put a group of 6 together to watch it. Luckily all of us pretty much ...

Pretty interesting how a rat can get such attention in Pixar’s latest offering. Yh absolutely hates rats but has considered watching this movie since its an animation. Should be pretty interesting to watch once it shows.

In my previous post, I mentioned that the NDP fireworks seemed a little too short and not very exciting. Saw a video of the fireworks from Tokyo Bay. Wow!

After finishing up some work for the day, I headed out to meet Joseph at Raffles Place Mrt. We had wanted to set up near Merlion park but alas we forgot that the huge crowd would already be there! By 5.30pm, Fullerton, Merlion park, Esplanade bridge were already packed to the brim with people from ...

First off, I would like to state a big caveat to this review, which is that the subjectivity in this post is probably much greater than in my other posts. In fact, it’s a little strange to …

Ueno in my opinion, is a great place to set up base camp in any trip that centers on the Kanto region. The bullet and airport trains run through, there’s shopping around the area, there’s …

When good friend alabranma told me he was travelling again to Japan, I decided to ask a favour to help write some reviews on some of the more interesting places to visit. He’s a true-blue academic pursuing his interests in all things Japanese and has made trips almost annually to some pretty interesting locations.I was ...

Over the past few years, my interest in the National day parade hasn’t really been the strongest. Most of the time we (the family) would spend it by catching the parade on the tv but have never gone to attend the actual parade. However, after catching the rehearsal on 30th June, I’ve been thinking a ...

It is common practice in Kukup for the homeowners to upgrade their homes into “villas” (something like a bungalow chalet) and rent them out to weekend holidayers.For 1 night weekend stay ...
