Someone left a comment on this blog, sugggesting that I should try the Curry Rice at this food centre. I finally did, last Sunday. There sure was a long queue. The queue was fast moving, so that's good.I had 2 vegetables, 1 mushroom and one curry chicken wing. I think it was $3.As it was 'Curry Rice', a generous amount of curry was poured over it.The vegetables were nicely …

This was yesterday's view from the hotel room of the NDP.We could see the stage, but humans are a bit too small. LOL... The sound was clear though.Unzoom and this is what we saw. Plus the bay and the merlion. (not seen in this photo)But we did see lots of fireworks live.I can't really take fireworks photo. Our other friend took nicer ones. I only found out recently that this train station is designed by a world renowned British architect. Of all places, I found out when I was in a bookshop overseas!I took this a few days ago. From the outside, it looks like a spaceship! You can read more about this station in wikipedia.

Last Saturday evening, everyone in the streets were looking up. The thundering loud sounds of fighter jets were doing a demo for Singapore's National Day rehearsal. At certain angles, it was as if the fighter jets are going to collide. Did not manage to capture it as we were all so fascinated and all necks were looking up!This is the only shot I took. This shot at a different …

Last Saturday, met up with Momo, Sue and Dino for lunch at a new 'chi-chi' cafe in town. COVA Pasticceria-Confetteria. Doesn't it sound where you can find all the tai-tai's will be at?Cova occupies an outside area where lunch and dinner is served, and the 'main' shop where food's prepared and all the delicious sinful looking cakes are displayed and it's also where you can …

It's our aunt's birthday today. Indeed she has been a great blessing from God to us. So sis, bro and I, we gave her, uncle and cousin a treat today. We booked a place at No Signboard Seafood at Vivo City. We have not been to this branch before. Many reviews says it has the most 'atas' deco amongst all its branches. If you have been to other branches, this branch does look very …

Are you a coffee lover, or are you a caffeine addict? Think about it.Introducing Daniel, one of the rare certified barista in Singapore. He makes coffee from the heart. Though I am not a coffee drinker, but I learned quite a bit from him just by his explanation while making a cup of espresso. He's one of the partners of Geek Terminal. If you want to know more, go over for a …

Last Saturday nite, met up with another group of friends for our monthly dinner. We had wanted to go to that Disney theme place, but we did not booked, and ended up having to eat elsewhere. We walked around and ate at Secret Recipe instead. The food pictures maybe tomorrow, but this was our desserts. The kids was I think disappointed. The two pair of parents have to quickly …

Last week, colleagues and I went to Holland Village for lunch because someone needed to do some banking transactions. At the row of shops facing the Holland Road junction, the most number of banks are represented here!So we thought we will just eat at the same row. We saw this 3 Monkeys Cafe and decided to try it. The last time we were here, it was Hog's Breathe. I wonder …

Yesterday, Mum and Sis arrived back from their holiday and we picked them up at the airport. The newspapers have been reporting about people flocking to Terminal 3 to shop and eat, so we decided to 'kepo kepo' a bit, so we went from Terminal 1 to Terminal 3 to eat. (yes eat. because they arrived on a 9 pm plus flight, we know they will be starving.)Remembering that this is …

People in Singapore will recognize this 'lion'. It's Singa the Courtesy Lion! The mascot of the National Courtesy Campaign. The lion has been around since 1982.This lion in the photo is a new installation. It makes me wonder...They brought out the lion again, the courtesy index must have gone way way downhill again!Test 1: Did you let people out of the train before you rushed …
