Most Popular Pings

Someone left a comment on this blog, sugggesting that I should try the Curry Rice at this food centre. I finally did, last Sunday. There sure was a long queue. The queue was fast moving, so that's good.I had 2 vegetables, 1 mushroom and one curry chicken wing. I think it was $3.As it was 'Curry Rice', a generous amount of curry was poured over it.The vegetables were nicely …

This was yesterday's view from the hotel room of the NDP.We could see the stage, but humans are a bit too small. LOL... The sound was clear though.Unzoom and this is what we saw. Plus the bay and the merlion. (not seen in this photo)But we did see lots of fireworks live.I can't really take fireworks photo. Our other friend took nicer ones. I only found out recently that this train station is designed by a world renowned British architect. Of all places, I found out when I was in a bookshop overseas!I took this a few days ago. From the outside, it looks like a spaceship! You can read more about this station in wikipedia.

You do get free parking in Singapore. But only at the Housing Development Board (HDB) carparks at the suburbs. (no, definitely not in the City Centre :-P )Free parking only on Sundays where this sign is displayed.

Last Saturday evening, everyone in the streets were looking up. The thundering loud sounds of fighter jets were doing a demo for Singapore's National Day rehearsal. At certain angles, it was as if the fighter jets are going to collide. Did not manage to capture it as we were all so fascinated and all necks were looking up!This is the only shot I took. This shot at a different …

This post is meant for readers 18 years old and above. Have you been to the Beer Festival? Do you know it has been in Singapore for 3 years and this year, it will be the 4th installment? I have not been to it but the kind folks from Timbre Group has sent me 6 different beers to try before the Beerfest that's being held from 7-10 June. These 6 beers are just a small sample …

Last week, we had a friend, Lyrical Lemongrass visiting from Kuala Lumpur. She is supposedly here for a work trip, but we think she's just here for a Ramen Trip! In the 1 week she was here, she had probably 8-10 different types of the 'must visit' Ramen places in Singapore. KopiKosongGirl and I were going to meet Ms Lemongrass for some ramen at Menya Musashi. She was staying …

I was at Changi Airport taking quite a few flights the last few weeks. A few times to receive people, I have been taking a few flights out from Changi Airport too. KopiKosongGirl works in the Suntec area and she has been telling me Saboten is really nice. We have noticed the branch at Terminal 1 and have been wanting to try it. Just the other day, I had a flight to catch and …

Beautiful Sentosa Sunset on 15 May 2012. Sky's a bit warm and hazy, but that gave a nice colour to the sky. It would be nice to be on those ships and view the sunset eh?
