More images from the top of Pinnacle@Duxton. This is the Chinatown area. Just look at the lights! A city of lights! How beautiful. I wonder how many of these buildings will turn off their lights next weekend? Will you be turning off the lights for the WWF Earth Hour Singapore? (I wonder if there will be a power surge if everyone turns on and off their lights etc?) - To follow/ignore keropokman, please sign in to your Ping.sg account.
Just last week, sis and I were chatting while watching TV that we have not been to PeraMakan for some time. (I think we were some cooking show about peranakan food) A few days later, we went out shopping with uncle and family at VivoCity and suddenly our Aunt asked if anyone is interested in going to Peramakan for dinner! (she can read our stomachs? minds? hehe) What did we … - To follow/ignore keropokman, please sign in to your Ping.sg account.
This is the first time I have seen the Singapore port from up high during the night. They work 24 hours right? But this might not be around in 20 years time? The government recently announce that in when the port lease is up in 2027, they will transform this into a new waterfront city. It reminds me of the port at Malaga in Andalusia, Southern Spain though. I have no idea … - To follow/ignore keropokman, please sign in to your Ping.sg account.
This was Sunday's lunch. Comfort food that reminds us of our late maternal grandma's cooking. Do you know when she was around, we called her SuperGran! What did we eat here? We had to order this every time we are here. Ice cold bitter gourd with honey. If you don't like the regular tea, you can ask for their special teas. This place serves nice tea! The tea we had came … - To follow/ignore keropokman, please sign in to your Ping.sg account.
If you want to view Singapore from up high, most people will think of the Singapore Flyer. But if you do not want to pay the Singapore Flyer ticket fee of around $30, you can visit the Skybridge at Pinnacle@Duxton. It's not as high as the Singapore Flyer, but at only $5, it's not too bad a deal. You can spend as long as you want up there. They close at 10PM. You see the two … - To follow/ignore keropokman, please sign in to your Ping.sg account.

I only found out recently that this train station is designed by a world renowned British architect. Of all places, I found out when I was in a bookshop overseas!I took this a few days ago. From the outside, it looks like a spaceship! You can read more about this station in wikipedia.

This was yesterday's view from the hotel room of the NDP.We could see the stage, but humans are a bit too small. LOL... The sound was clear though.Unzoom and this is what we saw. Last Saturday evening, everyone in the streets were looking up. The thundering loud sounds of fighter jets were doing a demo for Singapore's National Day rehearsal. At certain angles, it was as if the fighter jets are going to collide. Did not manage to capture it as we were all so fascinated and all necks were looking up!This is the only shot I took. This shot at a different …

Someone left a comment on this blog, sugggesting that I should try the Curry Rice at this food centre. I finally did, last Sunday. There sure was a long queue. The queue was fast moving, so that's good.I had 2 vegetables, 1 mushroom and one curry chicken wing. I think it was $3.As it was 'Curry Rice', a generous amount of curry was poured over it.The vegetables were nicely …
