Today I finally had a try (that's a score in Touch Rugby terms) - managed to break through the opposing team's defensive line. But I think I only did so because the sun was too hot and everyone was fatigued.Saturdays with the Turducken Greens Touch Rugby Group.Slowly getting better at the game, though I'm pretty much still one of the worst there. And noticeably lesser …

Today's a mild session of HIIT - still recovering from the previous HIIT session 2 days ago. Compound it with the new moves I'm learning (Overhead Squats) and my re-ignited pullup regime (over 150 in 2 days), I can see why I'm abit fatigued. This session is not timed:1.2km warm up run5 of 20mx4 shuttle runsTraining on an average of 6 days a week, with workouts of rather …

NUS Dragonboating is a CCA which, garners alot of respect once you joined them, somehow. For the males, you get in a better shape than you probably were back in NS, plus a deep, dark tan.If you're worried that all they ever do is upper body training, fret not, because they do alot of sprints and runs. Some images taken from Red Sports:

Along with the abs, a balanced, well-defined chest is the main focal point on a bodybuilder's physique. Because attention is immediately drawn to the chest, based on its position at the center of the upper body, it is important to develop it to its fullest to succeed as a bodybuilder.Ronnie Coleman does a flat barbell pressThe chest can be a rather complex muscle group to …

Today is Rest Day, still sore from the last Cross Fit Workout. Shall be having one great dinner with the Girlfriend later! I'm terribly hungry these days due to the increase in workouts. Growing? I really hope so. Its a great challenge for me to cross 60kg (132 lbs). My ideal weight should be at least 65kg. That will be my ultimate goal. And the intermediate goal is to hit …

The Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS) today is really much too unbearable to even consider lifting a light barbell. I just did some push ups and air squats to straighten out the knots a little. Knowing that I'll have to work this Sunday and miss Cross Fit Hub, really just kills me inside. This Cross Fit thing is really very addictive. It'd be a forthnight to my next …

Did a great workout yesterday an hour right after dinner - shoulder presses & sumo deadlift high pulls! And today I did barbell thrusters, deadlifts & pushups. I could do more if I weren't so tired out from work - ladder climding, squatting & kneeling to do cabling works, climbing ladders with 'a weighted vest' - this is functional fitness in some sense. …

Had good sun on Good Friday - hit some laps in the pool to soak up the sun, with my calves feeling sore from the previous day's sprints. WOD Swim 10 laps And on my way home I realize again how big a sport Ultimate Frisbee has become - a game was in-progress at the field just next to my apartment. Went to Cross Fit Hub on Saturday - did a workout with two Level One …

Went dragonboating today with the company, followed by a great dinner at Seoul Garden but sadly I just wasn't very hungry today. Its probably due to the annoying-cough-that- won't-go-away. Today's paddle was alot tougher but it was great - we did 4 sets of 10 minutes rowing. Very nice. And for the warm up prior to the sea training, we did a 3km run from Kallang to the …

Woke up with moderate, nice sores in my arms, quads, hamstrings and calves. That's what the absence of regular sprint sessions can do to your lower limbs.Decided to catch some sun at the neighbourhood pool and do a few short laps. Point to note: the sun gets partially blocked by the surrounding blocks after 4.30pm. But fortunately I tan easily!WOD:500m swimNext week will be …

Had a brilliant workout today - 200 parallel dips! I don't have parallel bars or rings - so I improvised using two stools. And to accommodate the fact that stools aren't as tall as parallel bars, I kept my legs pointing horizontally forward (L-sit) or tucked in. The former really had my abs contracting the whole time - lovely! By tucking my legs in my upper body rolls …

Haing not gone for a WOD at Crossfit Hub for such a long time, I am really feeling the effects of it now - DOMS in the back, scapula and hamstrings - it feels great. Will need to get some decent sleep tonight to be able to go at another WOD again tomorrow, hence its a rest day for me today. I eat similar home-cooked dinners for 5-6 times a week. Its fragrant (parsley), it …

After yesterday's gruelling MetCon, I realized how much hip power generation can come from burpees. I really should add burpees into my dailys too, alongside with thrusters. Today's workout at Cross Fit Hub is pretty heavy. Heavy loads.
