Day 2: Angkor Wat Sunrise - Banteay Srei - Banteay Kdei - Neak Pean - Ta Som - East Mebon - Preah Khan - Phrom Bakheng Sunset Yes, I know the sun will still rise without us watching over it, but no trip to Angkor Wat is complete without a sunrise trip, even thought it means we have to leave our guest house at 5am with an empty stomach! Day 1: Bayon - Baphuon - Leper King Terrace - Elephant Terrace - Ang Kor Wat Angkor Wat. This is the reason why we are in Siem Reap. There may be so many great temples in Angkor, but this is THE temple. That's why this temple is on Cambodia's flag. Angkor Wat was also another Hindu-converted-to-B uddhist temple, at first dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu, then Buddhist. …

Day 1: Bayon - Baphuon - Leper King Terrace - Elephant Terrace - Ang Kor Wat The Baphuon is another big temple in Angkor Thom. It is a mid-11th century temple mountain originally built as the state temple of Udayadityavarman II dedicated to the Hindu God Shiva. Then it was converted to a Buddhist temple, which is why they then built a statue of reclining Buddha on the other …

Day 1: Bayon - Baphuon - Leper King Terrace - Elephant Terrace - Ang Kor Wat Bayon is the most famous temple in Angkor Thom, that huge temple complex with 37 towers (used to be 54 lor!), each with 4 stone faces facing the 4 directions. This Buddhist temple was built by King Jayavarman VII between the 12-13th century, so yes, it is very very old! Some experts said those 216 …

It takes less than 2 hours to fly from Singapore to Siem Reap, so it makes sense to take a budget airline flight that costs less than SGD300. Those kind that cannot choose seat, cannot check-in online, cannot check-in luggage, no free food and drinks one. But for some reason, even though it was only an one-hour plus flight, we did get thirsty, but White-chan pointed out that …

Singapore is so cheap to live in, we got so many grants so easy to get, even if your family only earns $1k a month, you can get yourself a two-room flat! No problem lah! Just don't eat don't drink, just work-home-work, and don't have too many children so that you can be sure your whole family can squeeze into the flat lah!

"Businesses should look at the positive side of the new regulations on foreign workers. They are complaining that they cannot fulfil orders because they don't have enough workers. This is a happy problem. Which would you prefer - too many orders, or no orders at all?" - MP Gan Thiam Poh Assume number of orders received = x, number of workers = y, number of workers to fulfill …

I've been working at Fusionopolis for years and has been parking there for years. There is a huge basement carpark (all the way to B6 I believe) but alas, most lots are either reserved for those scholars at A*STAR, or are visitor lots. Which is why I was not given a season parking lot at the basement carpark, and have to park at the surface instead. Here's the interesting …

The Euro Disneyland in Paris is very very expensive and it is very very far away from the city. So you have to take a train to get there and then pay through your nose. And no, the train to Euro Disneyland is just one of their normal train, not that kawaii Mickey Mouse train in Hong Kong... White-chan still prefers the Hong Kong Mickey Mouse train and Mickey Mouse train …
