Due to the recession, prostitutes are now charging based on inches rather than hours. That should make it cheaper for most people, but not for me. Because what God takes away in height, he more than makes up for it in length.

Bags packed. All ready to leave for New Zealand. Problem is, the city I'm heading to sits on a major fault line.I'm betting 10 cents that New Zealand will have a major quake while I'm there.Any takers?

Two more days to go, and my emotions lurch from massive excitement to massive fear. The reality of the move has finally sunk in, the bags are almost packed, the goodbyes are almost done. All soon-to-be migrants go through this period of emotional upheaval, almost always wondering if the decision to leave is the right one.I am no different. But I will learn to enjoy the journey …

Considering how my chosen profession is perceived to be ‘low-class’ in this country, I found it pretty ironical that my application for a work visa in the other country has been diverted i …

Hey guys! If you're wondering what to get your other half for Valentine's Day, why not give them a pair of nipple warmers? Yes, you read that right. Nipple warmers it be:   Made of two rings of soft possum fur, nipple warmers are apparently useful in cold countries (or chilly air-conditioned offices). Women can use them to line their bra, or wear them to bed directly …

Well-trained pilots are bad ass. Methinks if you bring down a jet, under emergency circumstances like that, and everyone walks (or swims) away, you should get a card which gets you free beer and blow jobs for life.Respect, Captain Chesley B. Sullenberger III!

From John Rohn, a motivational speaker/philosopher/entrepreneur:I find it fascinating that most people plan their vacations with better care than they plan their lives. Perhaps that is because escape is easier than change. And how true is that?***For a vacation, people usually plan it out weeks in advance. They know that they'll be doing this and that on the first day, and …

Space (and by default, space exploration) has always fascinated me, and since I've been to the Disney theme parks in Orlando, Florida, I decided to visit the Kennedy Space Center while I was in the vicinity 2+ months ago.I took the NASA Up Close guided tour (US$61.28), and it gave me access to all the rides, IMAX movies and a 2.5 hour guided bus tour of the Space Shuttle …

When it rains, it pours. After 11 months of waiting, the Australian immigration department has finally requested for my health and police checks. If I submit those, the PR visa typically follows within a month. But because I'm already in New Zealand and am starting work next week, I've decided not to submit the documents and write off the time, effort and US$1650 spent on the …

Yay Palin! She did excellent and thumped Joe Biden! She was amazing! After watching that debate, it seems inevitable that McCain/Palin would win in the election. McCain and Palin are just more 'real' and I feel that they understand the issues of the common person a lot more than some Harvard elitist graduate like Obama.Palin has struggled all her life, so I'm sure she'll …

In the last 6 months, I got a job in NZ, got a work permit, moved to a new country, rented a place and got myself set up domestically, made new friends, learnt new skills (work wise), adjusted well to the working culture here, bought a car, did a bit of sightseeing and finally got my Permanent Resident visa.Note to self: More sightseeing required in the next 6 months...

I'd just heard one of my flat mates having sex. I'll never be able to look at her the same way again, LOL.***It's amazing how time flies.First week at work was pretty much ok. Lots to learn, but there was no pressure to learn them all by yesterday. Initiative and motivation are the key words here. The week culminated with my manager telling me to 'take it easy, it's Friday!'A …
