For my last destination in Poland, I landed in the magnificant city of Krakow, one of the few cities in Poland that wasn’t flattened during World War II. Lovely trip, with decent weather while we were there. Enjoy the photos!

I’m headed to Japan again, this time on a whim, since I still had my NWA voucher to use before it expired. So in the end, I only paid $40 in total to pay for my air tickets to Tokyo. This time I’m spending a lot more time in Tokyo to soak in and enjoy ...

This is an advertisement, my disclaimer is available here.European ski holidays are always one to behold, be it skiing in the Austrian Alps, the German Alps, or the French side. It’s typically tough enough to get such a vacation planned as you need to settle flights, transport, lodging as well as ski passes. I ...

In reference to the letter written to The Straits Times with regards to SMU students mis-using the National Anthem a few days ago, this is what I have to say.I am seriously disappointed. It is a fallible excuse to use advancement of creativity to desecrate a national symbol. Students must know their limits and not use such ...

I have just finished watching the first season of The Sopranos, the HBO series which a long long list of awards. Yes, I know it was screened a long time ago, but I just got it. And it’s good. No wonder they won so many awards. And I think Meadow Soprano, the protagonist’s 19 year old ...

This is a follow up to my previous post about how a poor business was sabotaged by a security flaw in GMail. It has been fixed by Google, but read to check if you have been affected.

It’s a nagging feeling when you are too nice, too good and too docile. Being a yes man, trying to prevent conflicts by going that extra mile, sometimes we just gotta ask ourselves - are people around me taking me for granted? Most of the time I’m great. Because I can cope. Then there are those like ...

For once I’m starting my vacations before everyone else! The engineers, medics, other scientists are all green with envy! Christmas is here! As with every Christmas break, I take it easy with the much shorter daylight hours. This year I decided to skip skiing and take to the Christmas markets of Bratislava, Vienna and Prague. I’ve heard ...

Winter is hit us really hard, as I was kindly reminded this morning. We decided to have dinner out and patronize this yumcha place in Bayswater. It was a chic upmarket restaurant with really funky decor and menu. The staff was really friendly and we met a couple of new Malaysian friends. As both of us ...

I stood by the tube gantries, trying to be calm and ignorant of my surroundings. It had been a long week of exams which were over, but the longest night was still to come. I glanced at my watch every few minutes, telling myself I was thinking too much, too soon. My watch was 5minutes ahead, and she strolled into the station in her typical cardigan and jeans, carrying a …
