Alone in the house with my grandma, sitting right across her from the table, it seems like we have a universe in between us. Being unable to speak fluent Cantonese, I can only communicate with her in bits and pieces. I wish I could've been closer to her because I think old people have the best theories and stories ever. But right now, at home, with her munching on biscuits and me typing away, I can't think of a single thing to say to her...10 minutes of silence passed and I couldn't take it anymore. I decided to ask her what time her tv program was. 4:30pm she said. That's like an hour from now. Oh god what are we supposed to do till then?!I can't wait for mom to get back from work.
