Yuxin's Farewell to Civilian Life...
As days and months passed, it was my 3rd month serving the nation and it was time for the rest of them to enlist and serve the nation as well! muhaha like, finally. As much as I dread enlisting, they too were on the same page. I guess all Singaporean men would feel the same way. The best remedy to tide them over probably one of the "hardest period" of their lives, is to throw a farewell party! Like what they did for me previously. :) We threw a mini farewell party for yx who was enlisting in a few days time at Breeks Cafe, Marina Square. And of course, we made a poster card with our wishes for him, titled, "Don't Get Lost In Tekong". Why? Simply put it, yx's super poor with directions and hence, we gave him a Singlish nickname, ELC- "Easily Lost Child". The pre-enlistee with our well wishes.. To guide him, we gave him a map of Singapore + Tekong Island itself. :) I guess, he really liked the gift specially designed and made just for him. Time for the food! Yx with zy and maegan. With Ms.
