With the Formula 1 coming to Singapore, we see Formula 1 related stuff on TV almost on a daily basis. I couldn't help but wonder if Formula 1 is so popular with Singaporeans or is the media simply hyping it up. With the cars wheezing pass at break neck speed, I'm not sure if anyone can enjoy seeing (or not seeing) cars that flies by before you can get a good look at them.Being the kaypo Singaporean I am, I took a look at the f1 website and see what exactly fans are paying to see flying cars. Imagine my horror, when the cost showed up on my screen... A grand total of US$1101.85 !! Gosh, I can't imagine anyone forking out that much to watch cars wheezing by. That amount of money can buy me over 600 plates of chicken rice ($2.50 a plate), or over 150 movie tickets ($10 a piece), or almost 4 iPod Touch ($388 each) !!!Cost aside, is it really worth it ?
