What Eng Kai Er did wrongly?
According to Asiaone, the couple who treated open air diners in Holland Village to a 15-minute naked parade earlier this year have been identified. The woman is Singaporean Eng Kai Er, 24, who is studying at a Swedish university, and the man, a Swedish student on exchange here in Singapore, is Jan Philip, 21.However, what draws the big fuss is that she is an A*Star (Agency for Science, Technology and Research) scholarship holder. She was also a member of Mensa, an association whose members are defined by their high IQs. During her teen years, Eng represented Singapore as a competitive ice skater in Skate Asia, the largest ice-skating competition outside the United States.I read the news, blogs, and forums, many says that she is stupid. But to me, I think maybe it is just a slip of mind. Well, once she has been staying oversea for some time, she may have a different thinking under different culture. She may thinks that it is just out of fun and no big deal, thought this is not acceptable in Singapore society.
