Tribute To Ah Meng The Orang Utan
It was a shocking news to hear that Ah Meng the celebrity orang utan from the Singapore zoo had died yesterday on 8th February... Ah Meng has been featured in more than 30 travel films, and has been written about in more than 300 articles...She was about 48 years old and leaves behind two sons, Hsing Hsing and Satria, and two daughers, Medan and Sayang, as well as six grandchildren. thats me in red & my brother in green... im afraid of Ah meng(she was pregnant) last time..but not animore im an animal lover now...Ah Meng will always be remembered by all Singaporeans... As a tribute to her, the next orangutan to be born at the Singapore Zoo shall be named Ah Meng Junior...There will be a memorial service held at the Singapore Zoo at 1100 hrs on Sunday 10 February 2008 (GMT +08:00).
