Tosokchon Ginseng Chicken
You cannot make a trip to Korea and get away without a meal of Ginseng Chicken or Samgyetang (삼계탕). One of the most famous and probably the best Ginseng Chicken restaurants in Seoul is Tosokchon - You can tell by the snaking queues. We went during lunch time and waited about 20 minutes which wasnt too bad. The guides always recommend that you go during off-peak hours but the queue does move pretty fast. We ordered a baked chicken, which was so moist and succulent! Think they use a wood fired or charcoal stove, something to that effect. And of course, the star of the show! Another picture of the Ginseng Chicken Soup for good measure. In total we ordered 3 whole chickens which I thought was going to be way too much for the three of us girls. But it was so good we mostly gobbled up everything on the plates. We had Ginseng Chicken again at another unknown Korean restaurant and Tosokchon really proved to be so much richer and tastier.
