Thin Layer Of ICE Formed In Bedok Reservoir
I COULDN'T BELIEVE MY EYES. And many other residents living in Bedok couldn't too. They just discovered a thin layer of ice, about 1 cm thick, forming in Bedok Reservoir.The first to discover the rare sceptacle was fisherman, Mr Daud. He was trying to wash his bucket when he realised there was a thin layer of ice there.'I was really taken aback. For a moment, i was wondering if i was dreaming as i could not feel the water,' said Mr Daud.The incident then grabbed the attention of resident who were jogging around the reservoir. We were told that only a part of the reservoir was covered with a layer of ice.One resident (who insists her name to kept confidential) said, 'This shows how we have screwed our environment pretty badly.'According to Mr Daud, this was the first time any such incident occurred in Bedok. He has taken a few photographs, along with others, and have decided to keep them as memories. The thin layer of ice has melted almost completely. -Copyright, Fiction Press.
