Tech Question by The Blogshop Blogger: Domain Name Should I or Shouldn't I?
I have read here that blogspot.com subdomains get deleted without any warning/reasons/time given to pack. And there's no way you can get them back, unless you have them backed up (which is possible for blogger blogs).Supposedly this happens because of the phenomenon name "splogs" , blogs that get created for the sake of linking to the main blog to rank higher in page rank. Spam blogs in short.What has this got to do with domain names? This below is my thought process..Perhaps if I get my own domain through blogspot and host it free on blogspot I won't get deleted out of the blue without any warning?But will I be able to bring my other subdomains (which I link to my homepage) along to my own domain? If not, they may get deleted anytime.This may happen to me or anyone having a blogger blog. Google, parent company of blogger.com had deleted their own blog before.
