Squeezing sweets to test freshness
Submitted by S.S:"I help out my friend at her stall selling the Chinese New Year goodies like sweets and some Taiwanese snacks. The business was good during the 1 week leading to the new year with many customers. The angry thing is I find a lot of tais tais have this bad habits of squeezing the sweets or the snacks to test for its "freshness"! How can you test the freshness by squeezing the food? It's not like fruits to feel the skins but just normal candies sweets. Why not try squeezing their young boyfriends to see if they are fresh also."
