Singapore - Maxwell Zhen Zhen Porridge

It was early and bright one weekday morning and I was still half awake so headed to Maxwell Market for breakfast, the beloved market place by most working in the CBD area for cheap and good bites. It was too early to eat anything solid so I had an order of a bowl of piping hot chicken porridge instead. Thank goodness there was only a small queue at that hour, about 10mins, as usually if you go during lunch time, the queue for a bowl takes about 30mins since they prepare each order on the spot.Really cheap for one big bowl of porridge chock full of ingredients! People like to order a plate of yu sheng (boneless raw fish garnished with sesame seeds, spring onions, fried onion bits and a dash of sesame oil and light soy sauce). Prices start from $2 up. There are a few types of porridge (chicken, fish and century egg), and I'd recommend adding an egg for stirring into the porridge.  There were so many pieces of chicken chunks in the porridge that I couldn't finish it.
