Screw Hybrids
According to the Energy Information Administration, in 2007, fossil fuels accounted for more than 86% of the world's energy source. It's been four years, but the situation hasn't changed much. According to various sources, fossil fuels still account for more than 80% of the world's energy source. This means that we still haven't found a reliable, safe and viable alternative source of energy. This should be our priority. Not hybrid or electric cars. Where do you think that electricity comes from? If anything, auto makers should concentrate on making existing petrol and diesel engines more efficient. For sheer economy and fuel efficiency, diesel is still tops. So screw hybrids and electric cars, I say.
