SISPEC - Ex. Wanderer & Grandslam
Just came back from Tekong, drawing an end to our last outfield exercise of BSLC. The first day was Ex. Wanderer, basically a 4 men team effort navigation exercise "wandering" around the island searching for check points.Nobody knew anything about the passing criteria, so we just did our best. I led my team towards the first check point, unknowingly making a wrong turn (not shown on the map). Luckily, there were a handful of signs around with coordinates on it, so we were never that lost.Anyway, we succeeded in finding 3 out of 4 in the day before the exercise was cut. Upon arriving at the end point, night navigation immediately begins -.-Now realizing that the map is pretty outdated, I highlighted the flaws in our pre-planned night route to the team. Instead, I suggested taking a longer route but with guarantee of not getting lost.
