Prelude to THE adventure of the year
Its funny that I've been looking forward to this break for months, yet when it is just about to happen, I realised that I will miss my family, friends and colleagues.Having said that, it was a frantic rush last week to source for last minute travel items, secure the visa, purchase the correct air-tickets and work on the heritage industry conference. Thank god everything went well in the end, especially the latter!36 days in Middle East - backpacking trips of such durations are quite unheard of for us slaves in corporate world. I'm considered lucky I've the luxury to take so many days of leave in one go and get a chance at this stage of my life to embark on this awesome adventure.On the packing side, as I'm used to travelling light, the magnitude of squeezing more than a month worth of t-shirts, jeans, socks, underwear, snacks, medication as well as stuff like torchlight, batteries, chargers and a whole slew of day-to-day items is beyond me.
