Prawn Fishing at The BottleTree Park
Spent 23rd May 2009 prawn-fishing with my colleagues at the Bottletree Park located in Yishun. I caught only 1 pathetic prawn for the 2.5hours spent there! Very pathetic. Anyway, we kept changing the bait(chicken) as we feel that it has been soaked in the water for too long, the chicken has lost its taste and thus wasn’t able to lure any prawns. There was one point where my hook hooked to the side of roof! Yes, it happened in real world, not only in comic/movies. It was really embarrassing. Man, when I managed to get my hook down, my whole string was all entangled so I spent a good 15mins trying to free the knots. Before we could fix it, the guy at the counter 看不下去and gave us a new rod. T.T Xinyan & Simin’s the MANWOMAN, they were brave enough to remove the prawns from the hook and got bitten by them. Thanks girls!So, the five of us took 2 rods, 2.5hours, $58 and caught a total of 10 prawns. We were given a choice to bring the prawns home or to BBQ them on the spot. Of cos BBQ la! $5.80 for
