A colleague buzzed all of us, saying let's go to Noodle Place Restaurant for lunch! Let's go there to have the noodles! The former Executive Chef of Mak's Noodles (HK), Chef Chui is now handling the kitchen here. Guess what? When we sat down, while looking through the menu, none of us ordered the noodles! We were more attracted to the Congee! This is the Noodle Place Special Congee (Zhao Pai Zhou) at $9.90. Yes, all of us ordered the same thing. I think it was 6 big bowls of this delicious fragrant porridge. Every bowl looks a bit different eh? This is my bowl after giving it a good stir. You get everything inside. - slices of abalone (1 had 2 slices, while my colleague said they only had 1) - sliced fish - fish maw - fresh prawn - meat balls - pig's liver - cuttle fish - roast duck - an egg (soft yolk that's why my stirred up porridge is yellowish. yum yum) You know why we opted to have porridge instead now? We are meat eaters, how could we resist not ordering
