Nintendo DSi: Brimming With Potential?
In an ongoing attempt to be less of a grouch, I decided to give the DSi a fair chance. And you know what? After looking over the specs of the DSi, I'm actually impressed - the internals appear to be massively upgraded, enough that they might have the capability to compete with the PSP (or at least the iPhone) after developers get used to them.Furthermore, if Nintendo handles the DSi Shop as admirably as Apple and Microsoft have handled the online stores for their game systems - that is, if Nintendo opens up DS development to amateurs and gets rid of their idiotic developer application process - they'll easily give any other portable a run for its money.(I have no faith that Nintendo's visionary enough to do that, but I like how optimism makes me feel warm and tingly.)If any of you attended the midnight launches, let me know how you like your new system! Consider me fascinated and eager to hear what you think. <3
