Mattel should not make it so inconvenient to exchange recalled toys
Submitted by Naci:"Mattel has not been very fore coming in assisting its customers to exchange their toys. So many calls to them and emails and nothing come back until someone wrote in to ST Forum for help. But their replies are half-past-six only.I submit this following replies from another Mattel toys owner from ST forum -"I REFER to the letter, 'How to arrange exchange of affected Mattel toys' by Ms Ivy Yeoh of Mattel (ST, Aug 22). While we understand this is not a situation anyone would want, I believe it is still Mattel's responsibility to make it easy for consumers - in this case, many parents - to exchange the recalled toys in the most convenient way possible. However, I am disturbed to see that, to do so, we are given only a small window of time (four hours, and closed during lunchtime), on two days in a seven-day week and in a remote location of Singapore.
