Like Being Hit By A Gun
After being hit in the heart by her poignant "I Don't Love" in 2006, Baek Ji Young (백지영) blew me away with yet another heart-rending song from her 7th album titled Sensibility. This immerse song, "Like Being Hit By A Gun (총 맞은 것처럼)", can be heard just about anywhere you turn in the streets of Seoul while sweeping the music charts through the country. The songs I like in the predominantly upbeat album includes 돌아와죠, 그대의 의자 (both ballads) and 입술을 주고. Despite a risky operation to remove a cyst from her vocal cords last year, the deep emotions in her soulful voice has never been missing; the huskiness a little less pronounced though. I guess..
