The Olympic had finally came to an end after 3 weeks ofsports action. In my previousentry, I was thinking if China would overtake US for the first time interms of its gold medal tally and yes China has indeed got the biggest haul interms of gold medals. I thought it will be interesting to compare how variouscountries had performed in the recent Beijing Olympics 2008 compared to the previousAthens Olympics 2004. Lets look at some charts… In 2004 Olympics, US is the clear leader for both goldmedals and total medals. While Russia has lesser gold medals compared to China,it does lead in terms of total medals. China indeed has done well for the Olympics 2008 perhaps dueto stronger morale boost since it is held in its own backyard. While China gotthe most gold medal, US still leads in terms of total medals.
