How can people not like reading???
Not many people in Malaysia cultivate the habit of reading books. I personally feel that the lack of reading amongst our society is rather alarming.I have friends who look at me like I’ve grown an extra head of something whenever I walk out from a bookstore carrying paper bags loaded with books. Some actually asked me whether I really read them...Like huh? Do you think I actually spend hundreds of dollars worth of books just to decorate my room?And it really annoys me when I tell them I really do enjoy reading, they proceed to ask me why?How can you enjoy reading books?Isn’t it like the world’s most boring thing to do?And they go on and on telling me that they’d rather have their eyes surgically removed and attached to their butts or something than actually flipping through books.Ok, I’m exaggerating on that last bit, but you get the picture…I know there are some of you out there who actually share my passion in reading.
