HDB's build-to-order flats delight us, and Singapore
Whilst condominium advertisements are usually the subject of much derision in The Viper Pit (see here), HDB stole our hearts today with their quarter-page "Build-To-Order" flats advert in the main section of The Straits Times. Showcasing their two newest developments - Treegrove @ Woodlands and Punggol Crest - the clarity of the message conveyed is disproportionate to the small physical size of the ad, and therefore commands our respect. Have a look at the ad below: The slogan at the top reads "Delivering new delights in modern living" and fits perfectly with the visuals and design template used. The two visuals - one of each block of flats - have perforated edges and are therefore presented so as to look like postcards. This complements the notion of "delivery" well, as does the two delivery stamps that are stamped onto each postcard.
