If you were born in the 80s (or before) and lived near or in PJ then I'm pretty sure you would know where the Medan Selera in PJ Old Town is. This place is an institution that has withstood the test of time. I'm amazed that this place still exists and that it looks essentially the same as it did 20 years ago.Personally I don't have any memories of the specific stalls that I frequented as a kid but I have been going back to this place recently for this one stall that sells one hell of a fried "sang meen". This stall is stall #47, Gerai Thong Kee.About as old school as it gets here in KL.Fried "sang meen"So what's "sang meen"? You know the noodle you get with wantan noodles? That's the one... maybe :) I don't know for sure but they are both very similar. However I swear "sang meen" usually has a very eggy taste to it while your typical wantan noodles do not.
