Day 7.
For someone who almost offed himself many years ago, his current appreciation of life is surely an irony.But what's there not to love about cool weather, beautiful seafront, a home that's close to all the happening places, friendly flat mates, no in-your-face government and a visible lack of Bangladeshis and PRCs?And the seafront. Especially the seafront. Had a long run along the bay a couple of days back and it was heavenly! Kept grinning and laughing like an idiot, such was my joy! It was definitely worth every day, every hour and every minute of my 10+ years wait.***The cool weather is refreshing as well. Just this morning I was walking around in t-shirt and shorts in strong winds and 12 degrees. Everyone else was covered from head to toe; even my German flat mate who experiences winters of -10 degrees in Germany remarked that it was pretty chilly.But not for me. Another sign that I was born in the wrong country, surely.
