Chinese name or English name?
I never have the tendency to remember Chinese names well. This disability bugs me a lot during my younger years until now, especially during college when 90% of the students there are Chinese, and they speak Mandarin. Fyi, I am a very banana person. The term that we used to define people who is Chinese but couldn’t read nor speak Mandarin. Yes, I am so banana that sometimes I have problem remembering how to draw out my Chinese name, not the alphabet type ok. You see, I can remember English given names very well that the second time that I see you again, I’ll call you by your name. But, it is to my utter disbelief that at one point during my younger years, I’ve forgotten a name totally after 5 seconds of introduction! I mean, if I were introduced to Kheng Siong face to face, I wouldn’t have remember it after that. Serious! Unless, he was introduced to me as Kenny or Tommy or Louis or Superman!
